FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT IMPLANTOLOGY

What does immediate loading consist of?

Advanced immediate implantology is one of the best options for rehabilitating a person’s mouth when they have lost one or more teeth.

With the Advanced Dental Implantology technique with immediate loading, all teeth in an arch are replaced with a prosthesis anchored to four or six dental implants. This innovative solution allows for fixed teeth to be available within hours after the dental implants are placed.

The main obstacle for patients seeking complete dental rehabilitation is the waiting period to place the final teeth on the dental implants. Thanks to immediate loading, it is possible to place fixed teeth within 24 hours after the procedure, eliminating the discomfort of being without teeth or wearing uncomfortable removable dentures until the final prosthesis is placed. With the aim of providing the best treatment and service, at Zenit Clinic, we offer patients the latest technology and the option of conscious sedation to make their treatment a relaxed session where we reduce anxiety and fear to achieve better results in dental implantology treatment.

COMMITMENT TO QUALITY

Guaranteed use of the latest technologies in diagnosis and treatment.

Only by working with the best materials can we achieve the best treatment for the patient. Our commitment to the patient during treatment is comprehensive. That’s why, from the diagnosis with Ortho/CT, through the treatment phase, and during the follow-up, we always use the latest technology. We work with one of the best implant brands in research and technological development on the market: Straumann® Dental Implants mimic natural anatomy, respecting the biological distance in all dimensions. This way, the crestal bone is optimally maintained and preserved.

Tailored to the patient

Computer-guided surgery CAD/CAM

The CAD (Computer-Aided Design) – CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) system is a technology that allows for the design of dental pieces through software, which are then placed in the patient’s mouth.

The system creates a 3D simulation of the dental pieces, allowing for more precise, efficient, and faster work than traditional methods of taking impressions in the patient’s mouth using silicone and handmade molds.

The CAD-CAM technology starts with an intraoral scanner that captures a perfectly accurate 3D image of the patient’s mouth. This eliminates the need for multiple measurements that unnecessarily prolong the process. From there, the prosthodontist obtains a digital file of the mouth and uses software to project the piece in 3D. That file is sent to our supplier, and the custom dental piece is created within approximately 48 to 72 hours.

restore functionality and aesthetics

What are dental prostheses?

A dental prosthesis is an artificial element used to restore the anatomy of one or more teeth, allowing the patient to regain the functionality and aesthetics of their dentition.

Dental prostheses are custom-made from materials such as acrylic or porcelain.

The base of the dental prosthesis mimics the natural tissue of the gums, using a careful pigmentation known as methyl methacrylate, which prevents the accumulation of bacteria.

Types of dental prostheses

There are two main groups of dental prostheses: fixed prostheses and removable prostheses.

Fixed prostheses

Fixed dental prostheses are those that cannot be removed by the patient and are used in patients who have good bone condition.

There are mainly two types of fixed prostheses: prostheses placed on bridges or crowns and fixed prostheses on implants.

Removable prostheses

Also commonly known as dentures, removable prostheses are those that can be placed and removed as often as desired.

They are recommended for patients with bone issues who cannot undergo implant treatment for securing the prosthesis.

Depending on whether the prosthesis is complete or partial, or if the patient has any healthy teeth, the placement will vary.
